Hi Sajhaites

I have few questions to some of the immigration gurus of sajha

How long does it take for Nepalese national to get a GC if applied under EB3EB2 category. I know its kind of individually handled. But I wanted a rough idea of getting GC( in case everything goes well). Whats the backlog. If I am not wrong I think the process varies according to Nationality assuming Indian and Chinese go thru humongous wait period once applied.

Any response would be highly appreciated

How long is it taking for Labor to get approved these days. Any one has recent labor approval timeline feedback?

Thanks

As fas as I know, people who have applied under EB2 are getting it in anywhere between 10 months and 20 months if they are with industries or companies, slightly quicker if they have higher degrees and are with government services or universities. EB3 will take anywhere between three and four years. I am not a lawyer/lier but I know enough Nepalese who have recently got gc through these two categories around here in Chicago and Boston. If you have a Master's and apply under EB2, it's good. If you have a Ph.D. and some grants/awards+publications, you may qualify for EB1 in which case you get your gc in 2-3 months as an outstanding researcher/professor.
Clarification: The time noted above is after your labor certification for EB2 and 3.
Hope this helps.
Best,
simon

If you guys check www.trackitt.com you guys can find the trend of approvals. You can search by name of the country, categories like EB2, EB3 etc... and also go to forum and get answers from all those people, who are on the same boat.

Also, check https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/ptimes.jsp  to find the current processing time and check http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bulletin_1360.html for visa bulletin.

This should help you to figure out all the answers you are looking for.

Hey Sid,

Below you will see Atlanta PERM tracker found in trackitt. Looks like it is 60 days in average these days.

If you ask my experience, it took me 3.5 months to get my PERM approved last year this time.

ek@l it doesnt matter where he or she files his labor from. like summit said that depends upon categories like EB2, EB3 etc...

Also, check https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/ptimes.jsp  to find the current processing time and check http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bulletin_1360.html for visa bulletin.

this should give u your answer
