i have a mac g5 in my work place.. and i can do what ever with it.. i thought of making it a server so that other co worker could use it for accessing files etcs... any suggestion what other ppl may have done..let me know if its useful in work place.. thanks!!

If you work with graphics designing, I guess you can use it pretty well for graphics stuffs like editing photos and videos etc etc. Making server depends on if you have server version MAC OS or not.

Ubuntu is really good OS to make it server. But to be honest with you, I haven't used the version you are talking about. I used Jaunty Jackalope. But just play around and you will know one more OS. Which is great. Have fun with your MAC. Regards, UM3$H

just finished installing ubuntu server // works great... i dont use server much.. any ideas what else can server do beside file hosting.. etc..
