I have seen thread for phone card to call Nepal, so am starting new thread Why big No to some phone card to call Nepal to express our negative experience in using any of the calling card we have been using to call our home country Nepal.
These are the calling cards i am using and the problems i had faced with these cards so that can be aware before using them (think twice or more before using them).

1. I have used this card for around a year, before it used to give 65mins for $4.99 but its now changed to 45mins/$4.99.
2. The voice/ sound quality is worst then before (either one of you form the calling or receiving side doesn't hear the sound properly)
3. It takes lots of time (some times more th en 15 minutes to get connected). Always getting message saying something like "The receiver sides phone is not working, or are allowed for distance call".
4. Every time we call our balance get deducted.

I faced all the above mentioned problem in this card too ... some of other are
1. The call get connected but some unknown person picks up the phone speaking some unknown language (at least unknown to me may be Spanish)
2. Every other day of using this card the balance decreases rapidly may  be around 50cents to $1.

Frens these are the problems i am facing on the above mentioned calling cards that i am using. I can see on the thread titled "phone card to call Nepal" for the option of calling card and skip those which gives problems as i mentioned above. If any of you remember i was the one to add "ringmycountry" in the phone card to call Nepal thread but i would like to say that that calling card's performance is worst now.

So if any of you are having problem in any of the calling card you are using to call home (Nepal) other then above you write something about it.

This way we can help each other as all in sajha are doing ...

prsthapit bro, dont mind yaar sajha ma yesto kura share garera k bhayo ta tyo syanjali e bhanyo bhandaima stop garnu pardaina...it seems like he knows everything.. if u share the thing whcih u have than thats gud bcoz there are many people who doesnt know abotu the calling card things. like the new people who come to US haina...

    If u ask me than i wud not suggest u to buy Nirvanatell.com caling card coz thats the most worst n pathetic card i have ever seen..On top of that they makes u crazy by callin so many times,, at ur work, school , home everywhere...so dont ever ever buy that card ..

Following cards are the worst.

 qfmphone.com : I found add of this card in sajha and used once. I even could not connect properly in nepal. Each time i dialed charge of the phone card got deducted. It was weired and called the number provided in the site. This is the worst card that i ever used and the worst customer service. NEVER ever try to use this card.

tomatotel.com : This card was good earlier. I was a customer and used this card for about a year and half. It has been like few months that i stopped useing because their service is weired now and when i had a problem in connection and pin number they never picked up the phone and did not even respond in email for about a day. I do not like this any more and moreover it is expensive.

telnepal.com : Same no good minutes and good connections. nirvanatel.com: keep on calling and the service is weired

ringmycountry.com: used once and it is the same no good connection.

 rebtel.com : I bought a phone card and it did not send pin number for over a night and the number i tried it was not working. I got the pin number the next day of the card purchase.

I am sick and tiered of these cards. I do not believe on any of these cards. Among all, my very  bad experience was with qfmphone.com. I never ever gonna buy that card any more and do not suggest to buy that card to call nepal. If you find any relaible card to call, please share with me too.

fewatal, rebtel don't use pin number system, u must have typed something wrong. I use rebtel regulary, althouigh its expensive, service is good. Balance donot decrease if called failed.

OcRam bro you are right. I messed up with other phone cards. Ma ta dherai pidit  ho yaar. maile ta dherai money waste gare yaar stupid phone card ma...aile ta ma direct call garchoo ani malai call back garnoo bhanchoo mero familylai.  dherai weired chhan yaar....phone cards. Qfmphone Card ko ta kurai nagaoun....never buy that card, it really sux...u will regret if you buy these cards...aile ta ma jun payo tehi use garchoo gas station bata but i stopped buying online, am really pissed off. I get pissed off when i do not have connection after few times (say 3 or 4 times), get pissed off when no one answers when i call customer service to find out the problem, and never responds  email, try to give big talk and never do( i found these some of the Nepalese Card business people).

Guys i do not know which cards to use but am not going to use but am not going to use all of the above listed card any more and never the Qfmphone Card .... I did not buy a whole lot like Tomatotel and others, i already got the taste of  Qfmphone Card  and the service...in the first purchase.

Suggest me if you have good cards. My personal openion is i do not mind paying extra charge but i  want the service out of my money. I also do not mind if the card has less minutes but clear connection and voice,  i would be more than happy.  I asked the same thing to Qfmphone Card  person why people pay for the stuff  for their service. People do not mind paying littlebit more if the service is good. So all  cards are just crap...

Yeah its pretty bad that calling card companies are cheating on us and trying to take away most of our hard earned money.. I suggest to use google talk or any messanger for voice chat.. Though little expensive Skype and VOIPbusters are also good alternatives.. You get quality and you are never cheated upon .. I make call to Nepal just to ask my parents to come online and then we voice chat over a messanger..

Add Himtel.com $2 card.  I lost $4 without even talking ...

If I am understanding correctly, it is not the phonecards that are to be blamed but NTC has bloced all VOIP calls. But why should NTC do that? People should be allowed to receive phone calls from other countries. Oh I guess it is like one of those things like you know having to pay in the airport to catch a plane, having to get work permit (shram sticker) to work in other countries, having pay to climb mountain  etc  etc... All bullsh*t, we live in a free world

i used to buy SDI ASIA QUEEN paper card from the store I used to work. The price was $1.75 for 2$ card and $3.75 for $5 card, that is 75% of the card value. That was one of the  best card I have used. Connection ma ale ale problem huntheo, but voice quality was good and balance unnecessary ghatdaina theo. Now a days, i m missing that card.

Good price and good quality are mutually exclusive matters when it comes to phone card. "BOSS" phonecard is what I use when I have to call Nepal. For $5, it gives 10-15 minutes and a very good connection.

I guess it also depends upon the time / day you call, as it says in most of the phone cards, that everyone might be calling on weekends or evenings or mornings, so its very hard to get the connection at that time and even if you get one u'll hear loads of noises, so may be you guys want to consider this too, coz i've seen some phone cards which works fine at one time and doesnt work at all next time.

5$ ma 10-15minutes isn't that very expensive bro ...never eared about such an expensive card ... some of my frens were sujjesting pingo card and yetitel card ... i have never used those so no ideas ... i am going to try those next as they are not in my Big "NO" list ...
