I was handed 221g form- requires administrative processing. I am a full time employee and work for reputed company. Anyone recently received white 221g form- administrative processing ? Please share your experience.

Asim,

First of, I'm so sorry to hear that! Nowadays,  I heard that they're making it strict than before. I heard too many Indians stuck in India apparently for background check. It even happened to two of my friends back in 2006/7 and took about 6 months to finish their process. One of them had the matching name with some other guy who had some problem, I guess. It was really unfortunate for him. Other guy had some issues with his studies and some police records.

So, when did you get that form and did you ask them what was the reason? Also, you need to keep calling them to follow-up on your case. Don't expect them to call you. Other than that, I've nothing else to suggest. I am also planning to visit Nepal and now have to think twice. Please keep posted!

Best of luck!

Asim, don't let this screw your vacation. Now a days every other case has 221g, and majority of them are for PMIS verification. Mine was second time stamping and both the time they handed me the same damn paper. It took me 3 working days to get the clearance. Please make sure you call them everyday between 9AM to 11AM, 4007200 i believe is the numer. Ask them to transfet you to NIV section and ask for your case status. Nothing to worry about on top of that you are a full time employ. Enjoy your time in Nepal.

Thanks all for the info.
@delicate - I got the form on 2nd April and did ask but VO didn't tell me why my application is being subjected to administrative processing.
@edipre - Yes, they kept my passport and file. But VO told me the process may take from 1 week to 2 months. Did they tell you the same and called you after 4 working days ?

@edipre - I did call yesterday, Nepali worker in NIV section told me the status shows the case is still under administrative processing. VO asked me simple few questions and I replied well. I will try to call again in 2-3 days.

I would suggest you to contact ur company so that they can contact USCIS to know the issue for delay and hence shorten the process.

Good luck.
