One of my best friends was equally smitten with this song as you are. We were undergrads then ....brings back memories of those wonderful days .....her head on my lap, my fingers stroking her beautiful long hair, i loved her hair cuz i never could have such beautiful, thick, cascading hair.....she'd ask me to sing her this song.....those were charming moments that we shared through this song ....

Nonetheless, friends like you do not need replies to remain friends, do they? That beautiful song from "Anand" chokes me up everytime I listen to it. Why did they have to kill Rajesh Khanna in the end?
Khabardar, Thanks, that was a true ghazal in the face of modern ghazal singers like pankaj udhas et al. Even quality singers like jagjit singh become so industrialized that they sing for movies these days which are merely a "nazm", a far cry from being a ghazal. Shall post more great songs if time permits.
