Dude looks like you are using your genuine resume, that won't work on this country any more. All the freaking fake resumes floods from all over place, it very difficult to eliminate those people, and genuine people with genuine resume won't even get chance for interview.

On top of that, freaking automated system reward these fakers doing keyword matching. Few times I have asked to specifically pull resume with less then 5 yrs experience to consider freshers or junior canidate, cause all fares put 5 + yrs exp, but it happens so much that , freshers are not getting hired if they didn't get in through college recruiting. This is insane for country like this. And with all corporate politics crap, only those fakers get in and stick around. I am not against hiring students in genuine way, but all those h1b we bring in from India, saying they are best & brightest, is just insane.

Yaaku!! You made the right point dude. It is a bloody place to be in. Even with the right education and hardwork it just isnt enough to survive in this country. I did quite a bit of interviews in last 6 months and it all comes down to that 5 yrs of experience. Big companies normally hire contract engineers (cheap dhotis from India) for whom they can pay whatever they want and dont have to pay any benefits. For that reason they barely hire any body from the US unless it needs to be. Also racism is at peak during hiring process. There is a saying "American jobs and Mountains looks the same; the higher you go the more white it is". It is very tough to convince a red neck that I'm a good person with education and I'm not here to steal your fucking money. It sure is a sad reality here in the Mid West. I dont know how the rest of the country fare but here in Mid West it still has that 50s mentality.
For that reason i just wanna say fuck it and move on. I know Middle East aint a great place to be in but if my education is valued there why not move there.

Referrals works well in the USA. Do you know any of your friends who is in the same field and is working for a company? Try seeking help through friends and relatives. If someone can refer you, chances are you will get the job. Some jobs are not even posted online but are referred internally through employees. This is where networking works. Try expanding your networks.

Ujl: That has always been difficult for me. I just realised how important the referrals are. But now i dont even have any contacts with my friends from college. But now i have given up upon working in this country. I want to find a job in the Middle East, get few years of experience and see how it goes. I'm so sick of trying. If you have any connections in those countries let me know bro!

Yaaku, your suggestion might work in IT field, but would be hard to fly in traditional engineering fields (Mech/Elect/Civil etc). Normally, it's easy to catch a faker in the interview - college education is very different to what you do in real life.

Corporate America, have you tried doing some internship? Paid/unpaid. Once you get your feet wet, it is easier; this is what I tell every student before they graduate, but it's still not too late. If you haven't given the though of working here, then keep trying. Meanwhile keep yourself busy with your school's engr department or some lab. If not, then working anywhere outside without experience and just education might be hard.

So what people have fake resumes. You can stand out in the crowd by having different professional ceritifications. Certainly with only your degree it is tough to find job but that does not mean you lose hope.
US ma job payena middle east ani teha payena australia ani teha pani payena bhaney where will you go?Point is once you give up it becomes your habit.
So yati dherai struggle garisakyau, do some more, get yourself a professional certification, polish your resume.Don't get scared with fake resumes. Americans like the learning and never giving up attitude. They don't like and care about those fake resumes.
Those who say degree ain't nothing. I have had some interviews where people appreciated me having a masters degree because that showed the kind of learning effort i showed.
I was in ur place once but don't lose hope.keep working hard.

Just so you know, i had a friend who went from here to middle east to find a job and he said without US citizenship it is very tough to get job there too and he wasted his time about 2 years there and he came back.

If you still are hopeless, inbox me i can give you his company's name.I know nothing about that company.i will just pull it out of his linkedin and will give it to you.

Fakers are every where these days, I just meet a guy in my brothers work place civil eng got in fake resume, they figure out in a week but let him keep going cause kiddo was trying hard. There is no point of talking about IT. The only remaining industry is probably the one that needs professional certifications. Other industries are very low compared to IT but jobs are also low on other industry. When there is opening and two resume comes one with 5 yrs exp, one with no exp , corporate always prefer 5 yrs even though , exp may not beatching, and all people are taking advantage of that culture , it started with IT now spreading all over unless it very specialize knowledge, this cancer is take down fundamental innovative ness of this country pretty soon. Corporates are running away from culture of bringing fresh and grooming & traning people , who will lead corporates in future. I hope doctors are not lying to get into residency.
