I got HONDA CRV from the dealer and I did financing but the apr is high (3.99%). Is there any other credit union which does refinancing on less apr? I heard DCU does in 1.74%. how is it?

Hi Sajha keto, APR depends on your credit history too. I had the same issue with dealer, they were giving me the rate of 4.2%. You could directly say I will take this car right now if you give me the good APR else I have to go to other dealer. If you say that, they will find a way out. I did the same and they gave me the 1.99% APR from Capital One after saying that. I did try with DCU first but their rate were high than Capital One.

Ohio, I already got the car. The problem is I dealt with car price and finalize it. Once everything was done, it went to financing guy which is not part of dealer. So, he checked my credit history and later gave 3.99. At that time i did not have choice so agreed on that but I have got 5 days time to pay the amount to finance if I can get low apr from another finance. I just called DCU which says they have 1.74% apr if I open account with them for direct deposit of salary based on credit history. They are ready to take the action immediately if the car would be as new purchase but if it will be like refinancing, it may take some time. And the finance from dealer has given me time till Monday and if I pay the full amount by Monday, I dont have to pay any financial charge.

Apply at DCU bro you will get approved in 24hr. I applied mine and got the rate of 2.25% for used car, may be it might be less for brand new car. They asked me to put my salary direct deposit in their credit union so that they can lower the interest rate to 1.74% but I am not interested doing that.

DCU is great. I got mine at 1.49. Need direct deposit on the account though.

Spartaus, Any reason of not liking direct deposit to them? I am in call with them and applying now. I am thinking of direct deposit. Even if I do direct deposit, I can get transfer to the account I want after deposit right?

I was looking into honda crv as well, until I saw that 2015 Honda CRV has vibration when idle problem. Went for the RAV4, got 0% apr.

2015 CRV definitely has the vibration problem, I test drove one and noticed it right away. So opted for RAV4. To replicate the problem, drive the car for around 10 mins, and when the RPM is around 500/600 in idle you notice driver seat and passenger seat vibrating. The one I test drove had the problem.
