Since the first wave of Nepali students started going abroad for higher education in mid 90's, this trend has continue to rise. I believe that there must be around 10000--15000 Nepali students alone in USA till today. With other favorable destination such as Australia, Britain and UK, the number can even peak 50000. With such numbers where Nepali students have gained the world class education from higher institution in various fields from around the world, the question is If Nepal is Ready to take in this huge volume of foreign educated Nepalese and put them into good use. When can we see the industrialization of Nepal? I am sure many students in USA and other will retrun home to contribute to motherland instead of running after false dream of making good in foreign land and becoming a 2nd or 3rd class citizens. Do you think the foreign educated Nepalese can achieve big in Nepal? Do you think you have the new idea/concept and thinking that you can utilize in Nepal than working in gas-station, Indian grocery store, restaurant and so on that is practically "brain-drain" all the knowledge you have attain all these years instead of utilizing for the maximum usage. cheers

sorry my bad. actually i wanted to write Australia, Britian and Canada or simply as ABC but i guess i must have been dreaming........trust me i am good at geography and i did took regional, physical and world geography class too. nice catch by jhapaliketo. Anyway technically speaking, The United Kingdom of Great Britain is the officaial name, also commonly known as the United Kingdom, the UK, or Britain It constitutes England(englishmen), Scotland(scottish) to the north, Wales(Welsh) to the west and Ireland(Irish)to the north west. When combine, the people are simply called the British. The Kingdom of Great Britain was created by the political union of the Kingdom of England (which included Wales) and the Kingdom of Scotland. This event was the result of the Treaty of Union that was agreed on 22 July 1706. Almost a century later, the Kingdom of Ireland, already under English control by 1691, merged with the Kingdom of Great Britain to form the United Kingdom. Hence after merging of see each Kingdom(England + Scotland + Wales + Ireland) = United Kingdom That's how the Union Jack(flag) came to be. England flag symbol is red cross in white background Scotland flag is white cross in blue background. When combine, it becomes a Union Jack Hope this help. Hence after merging of see each Kingdom(England + Scotland + Wales + Ireland) = United Kingdom ===================================================================== Whenever you say Ireland it primarily means REPUBLIC OF IRELAND which is not in UK and a different country . Ireland on many occasion is also the combaintion of republic of ireland and northern ireland. The country that is in UK is northern ireland. Kingdom(England + Scotland + Wales + Northern Ireland) = United Kingdom Capital of Northern Ireland is Belfast. Capital of republic of ireland is dublin.

Nepal is now a poverty and conflict laboratory which the first world would like to keep alive for continued research in these areas. So forget about progress for the time being. You may have hundreds of thousands of educated people but you need to have an icebreaker first. Nepal is yet to see a Lee Kuan Yew or another Prithvi Narayan and may not see one in the forseeable future.
