How much do you guys agree with this line?
The smarter you get, the harder it is to tolerate stupidity.

If you don't know how to tolerate stupidity then you aren't getting smarter. Disagreed.

As they say, ignorance is bliss. The smarter you get the less blissful life gets because you have more predefined notions about how things should be. You have more expectations out of life.
Is it smarter to stay stupid?

Stiffler, footyfa, bittertruth,
Have you never noticed how a stupid statement at a crucial time infuriates you twice as more now than it did maybe few years ago?

mahodaya pinpoint sir ,
the smarter u get the harder is to tolarate stupidity . the thing is the word stupid should be replaced by the word pseudo nasist there is no such thing as stupid. the bigger the size of head and age the smarter the person is because bigger head and bigger age makes them smarter u can try talking with guy with bigger age than u andwith guy with smaller age and see the difference .

'The older you get, the wiser/smarter you become..'
anyone gamers here, ... like those MMORPG type one...
you begin with LVL1 , and as you progress through hurdles you LEVEL UP., right??
This simple logic applies everywhere..
Experience makes you more knowledgeable and smart. And, when you become smarter
and wiser, you create more distance from the opposite ones. Why would you
ever be in need to be amonst fools, just to tolerate them?? lol.. doesn't make sense.
Lets say, eventually, even if you are amonst them, and if you are wise/smart, you'll simply ignore
them, it becomes easy to ignore, not 'harder to tolerate'.
'murkha sanga mukh na laagnu' bhanney ukhan ta sunekai hola..
budhapaka(smart wise ppl) ley tesai bhaneka hoinan,...
'murkha sanga chup-chap laagera aago bhayera basnu' bhanera ta pakkai pani bhaneka chainan..
ki chan???
ani, you kun chahi bewkoof ko quote ho,
" The smarter you get, the harder it is to tolerate stupidity. "

Mr. Bitter,
I am a person who believes that i can learn something from everybody and dont regard somebody as an idiot unless i have at least several experiences with that person. Even then, i still dont underestimate that person. But some people that i have to deal with are idiots. My supervisor is one who will ask me to sit at the end of a branch of a tree and saw for firewood, if you know what i mean. And she doesnt hate me. And i cant reason things out with her, she wont listen and she will only press her ideas with flawed reasoning. When i try to show that, all i get is "please dont argue". Then there is a roommate of mine, whom i have to live with and is a very good friend too, but a lot of times i find it hard to tolerate him because he does stupid things that i have to suffer for. When i tell him not to do it this way, he will press his own views and interrupt, so i just shut up. Then he screws up but still doesnt admit anything. and then i have to suffer too. And then next time, i find it harder to tolerate his propositions. I cant ignore him and i cant take decisions because i am dependent on him for car and other stuff. SO i agree with the line.

pinpoint, I'm sorry to hear that but it seemed like your supervisor doesn't like you. She may be doing it intentionally or may be not. I don't know how you feel but you never argue with a woman(am assuming you a guy, but if you are a woman than you are being way too sensitive). You always throw words of appraisal 'hey, you look good,... ' 'you are great'..etc even if you don't mean it. these are small things that leave impression and eventually turn all bitterness to something good. Supervisor!! you don't want to mess with them, they're your second boss. so, just listen to what they've to say, even if you make mistakes, it'll be their fault because you took their orders. Believe me, eventually, they'll start listening to you, or they think twice before speaking out against you.
so, you are saying 'yes, yes' whatever crap your roommate is throwing at you just because you are dependant on him for a ride. you better stop that attitude, he doesn't own you, you've life, try to be independent, find means of transportation.. and have healthy arguments. Just fearing you may lose the ride, it's stupid. You are not getting smarter bro/sis, you are becoming scared, lack of confidence and losing ground.
solution:
acceptance is the key. I'm telling you because that's my experience. I'm happy now, I had situations like yours.
Acceptance is the answer to all my problems today. When I am disturbed, it is because I find some person, place, thing or situation -- some fact of my life -- unacceptable to me, and I can find no serenity until I accept that person, place, thing or situation as being exactly the way it is supposed to be at this moment.
more you resist, more you suffer. just accept. This part of life, you need to work with others. On the way, don't forget you could be seen as being argumentative as well. So, just don't accuse other they are being argumentative. You could be one. If you think your supervisor is stupid, she wouldn't be supervisor, they didn't appoint her just supervisor cos of her stupidity.
Accept your surrounding. okay?? This is an elderly suggestion to you.

Bitter and intelligent,
No, my supervisor doesn’t hate me. I know this coz she does it to everybody equally. My colleagues feel the same way I do too. I don’t think I would say kind words to women like you do but I could give it a try haha
Ok so I should probably rephrase my last line from previous post. I don’t say yes, yes to him always, just when it concerns car for example, as in we are going out and I give in to what he says regarding where, when and which way (after a useless attempt). After all, its his car. Nowadays, my opinion of him has become so bad, I always look at him with extra judgemental eyes. He talks about how we should end corruption and the next minute he is explaining to me how he plans to be the governor of central bank by paying off people if necessary. When I give my opinion to him, which is contradictory to his, on topics like jobs, money, etc., he interrupts after a bit and says he doesn’t agree but explains to me by rephrasing all that I just said. Sometimes, he appreciates what I share but another time he shares the same thing with me, like he was the one who came up with that. It annoys me and the only way I have found to work is to just let him talk, however stupid it seems to me, I don’t argue, I just keep saying “uh-huh, and then..” , and sometimes im just lost in my own world. This is my acceptance that you talk of. I want us to be great friends but I can’t tolerate his stupidity. Few years back, when we hardly talked about important issues, I didn’t have problems like these.

I've one dhoti who hires me, he treats me just like that.. but I don't respond him or tell him all the things I know anymore. It's simply not worth to discuss with them with that mentality.
They try to kidnap your credit for whatever you've done.. which I don't let him do anymore, because I don't talk anymore. Some things
are better not shared with people of that level.. hahahaha.. reminded me of myself..
just take it easy bro .

Mr. Bitter,
Here's a question for you. What if the said person was your mom/ dad/ wife/ close relative? Would you do the same?

then, you are screwed up big time..
run away from them like you've never run.. can't help..
just kidding.. ;)
if they're so close to you, it should be lot easier to talk to them.. hoina ra?
or are you little reserved type of family member.. dunno.. I've some cousins who don't open up easily.. dunno whats going on in their heads..
just open up, approach, and tell things in a way where they don't feel bad and you also happen to say your thing
