भनिन्छ, सत्य सधै तीतो हुन्छ, अप्रिय हुन्छ। केही समय यता मेरो दिमागमा एउटा यस्तै अप्रिय सत्य बास बस्न आइपुगेको छ। तर, जतिबेला यो सत्य ममा पाइतो सरेको छ, त्यतिबेलै मानिसहरु एकनासले त्यस सत्यलाई आँखा चिम्लेर एउटा कात्तिके विवाहमा जन्ती गइरहेका छन्। म त्यो दृश्य पनि धेरै दिनदेखि एकनासले हेरिरहेको छु। कहिले काठमाडौंमा त कहिले बुटबलमा, कहिले पोखरामा त कहिले धरानमा पटकपटक देखिएको त्यो कात्तिके जन्ती र त्यसका लागि आवश्यक वातावरण बनाइदिने फोबञ्जारी सञ्चारकर्मलाई पनि एकनाशले हेरिरहेको छु। त्यसका लागि पस्किएका एड्भोर्टरिल्स, इन्फोमर्सियल्सलगायतका सञ्चार सामग्रीहरु र ती सामग्री पस्कने  खेताला सञ्चारकर्मीहरुको थप जन्ती पनि देखिरहेकोछु।

प्रसंग यो बेमौसमी विवाह र त्यसका बेहुला प्रशान्त तामाङको हो। सोनी टेलिभिजनले एउटा कार्यक्रममार्फत् इन्डियन आइडल बनाएका यी नेपाली मूलका भारतीय तन्नेरीको प्रशंसामा मैले यही पत्रिकामा लेखेको थिएँ, भारतीय हैकमवादविरुद्ध उठेको नेपाली शान अर्थात् प्रशान्त। प्रशान्तलाई इन्डियन आइडल बनाउन नेपालमा देखिएको अभूतपूर्व प्रशान्त प्रेम र त्यसको परिणामस्वरुप उनलाई प्राप्त भएको सफलतामा नेपालमा देखिएको हर्षबढाईंको पछाडि मलाई लागेको कारण त्यही थियो। हुन पनि नेपालमा एउटा व्यक्तिको सफलतामा त्यति धेरै खुसियाली मनाइएको इतिहास अभिलेखमा पाइँदैन, त्यसमा पनि एकजना प्रवासी नेपालीका पक्षमा वास्तवमा यो आफैमा एक चमत्कारिक प्रतिक्रिया थियो। यता नेपालमा जुन मानकमा चमत्कारिक हर्ष बढाईं भइरहेको थियो, त्यही बेला भारतमा भने प्रशान्तलाई लिएर रंगभेदी तथा वर्णवादी प्रतिक्रियाहरु सार्वजनिक भइरहेका थिए।  जहाँ प्रशान्त इन्डियन आइडल बने, त्यहाँ उनको चर्चा पूरै सेलाइसकेको थियो। त्यसलाई सेलाउन स्वयं टेलिभिजन पनि लागेको थियो। तर यता नेपालमा भने प्रशान्त ज्वरो यति चढेको थियो कि एक किसिमको बुहलीपनाकै हैसियतमा चढेको थियो भने पनि हुन्छ। नेपालीको यही पागलप्रेमलाई सोनी टेलिभिजनले सेन्टिमेन्टल ब्ल्याकमेलिङ गर्दै  प्रशान्तका लागि नेपाल बजार बनायो। सोनीले प्रशान्तका लागि जुन एक करोड रुपैयाँ दिनुपर्थ्यो, त्यो उसले नेपालमै उठाउन अहिले प्रशान्तलाई आफ्नो ब्रान्ड बनाएको छ।  (more…)

             All I have to say is you got good writing skill in Nepali, more of persuasive and militative rather than realistic.Anyway, I did really enjoy it. But, I am equally adamant in denying-  as you were in asserting your  hypothesis, regarding the new Indian Idol Mr. Prashant Tamang.

            You know it well and I do let me repeat again, that it is a human nature to feel good at being able to stand out from the crowd. This is good only when the crowd is cruising on a wrong way.Lets not vomit out the jealousy by day-dreaming how much Sony Network might be cashing out from Prashant's mushrooming 'Concert Shows'.

           Wasn't that what Sony Network expects from their winners and the same winners dream about doing for-if they are elected to be the 'Idol Supreme'. If not concerts then what esle you expect from Sony and Prashant to do after the 'drama' was over.

              Organise bunch of 'human-rights' activists and let Prashant 'rant' acts of human-rights violation in Pervez Musharaff's Pakistan- or may be denouce Maoists of Nepal in murdering a Journo from Terai???

                   Please let us know what you did expected from Prashant and his 'surrogate' Sony Network.

There is no doubt sony will take full advantage of the winner. That is the contract that they have to sign before they decide to sing from the begining. 1 crore ruppe is a contract for certain period. that the winner will do what Sony will say and he/she will not be allowed to perform wihtout the consent from Sony. So its all clear. Sony can do what they like.

article, but I take a serious issue with the above statement. You have

not given a single reason to prove your point.

 

I really don’t understand the point of raising a caste issue here.

 

No wonder the kind of mess we are in Nepal today with this kind of thought

prevalent.

This is not like that what u are assuming.

Of course Sony is earning a lot by means of Prashant, sowhat? isn't prashant getting anything from that. 1 crore in 1 year. As a constable in police force, how long would he take to earn that sort of money, u can't think of. Again by doing concerts in various parts of world, who will get the benefit at last: it's Prashant. He will be famous everywhere and that's the opening of good future.

If he had not been an indian idol, then? no one would have known him. Whatever he has earned today (fame, money) is all by means of Sony entertainment. So how can you think of that Prashant is (laino gai). Prashant works for Sony for one year and he gets one crore, that's it. Working for some company for one year and getting not only the money but the fame too is a lot for Prashant. After one year he will have bright future.

You all may be working for some company. Suppose you are getting 60K per year (in US), your company may be getting 400K for the work you have done, so are you (laino gai), you may be getting 20,000 per month (in nepal) and ur compay may get 80,000 or more for what u did.

So there is no need to blame Sony for making Prashant as laino gai. About collecting money from Nepal by Sony, it's not Sony forcing Prashant do concert in Nepal and collect money, it's Nepali organizations doing concert and Sony gets his rate. If Prashant says that he would not do concert in Nepal ( thereby Sony couldn't collect money from Nepal), then all people will blame Prashant, not Sony. Even, if Sony doesn't want Prashant do concert in Nepal, then there will be riot in Nepal against Sony for not allowing Prashant do concert in Nepal.

Whatever is happening is good for Prashant and is bright opening for his future.

More than the writer of the article.. people who commented about the article seemed more intelligent and sensible and blessed with vision to see the reality. Sajha must be fortunate to have you all guys!!!
