Hi,

I am posting this question here because I could not find answer on the web. Any help of experienced person or a professional is highly appreciated.

I will become a US citizen last month (hopefully). I've got my mom,dad and a brother(20 years old) back in Nepal. I know I can sponsor all of them separately. I also know my parents don't have to wait much but my brother has to wait for long-long time.

A friend suggested me to apply just for one of my parents. He says, once Immigration Petition is approved on behalf of that peron, he/she can then include remaining family members as dependents (for family based derived immigrant visa or something like that).

Is this a possibility?

thank you all, in advance, for positive and thoughtful responses.

i also think that once your parents get their citizenship, it will be easier for them to sponsor their other son that you doing for your brother.

new trader .. no, i do not think your parent can bring his/her son (your younger/minor brother) s his/her dependent.  There are several immigration forums in the net.  you can put your question there ..
