hey guys anyone knows how to unlock iphone. i did some research but couldn't get enough information. I want to unlock my iphone cause I want to take it to nepal. any web site i can download software to unlcok iphone.

Go to the ebay.com. You will find the software to unlock the iphone. But I am not sure it it works.

its pretty simple actually.. which generation iphone do u have?
if its a first generation iphone with firmware 1.1.4 then all u have to do is go to www.ziphone.org then download the software called "ziphone" which is rite there on the first page as soon as the site opens up. download the file for the OS u have.. i.e Vista or Mac OS. it has both. then unzip the file called ziphone and  connect ur iphone n run the program. there is a " do it all " on the dialog box. once u hit it.. ur phone will b jailbroken,  activated and unlocked for any service provider. but REMEMBER one thing. once ur phone is unlocked it is better NOT to upgrade ur phone to version 2.0.

I tried to unlock my iphone as per ur instructions but didn't work. Every time I tired to run the application 'ZIPPhoneGUI.exe' I get application error (see snapshot).  

I tried several differnet ways with the phone being connected, disconnected, with sim, without sim ...but same error. I tried to run some of those batch files 'ACTIVATE JAILBREAK IPHONE.bat' and 'JAILBREAK IPHONE IPOD.bat' too but that froze my iphone and I had to reset it again.When I said froze, there was a display of USB and itunes sign on the screen and nothing worked. 

Have you face this problem? I had looked at the read me file too that wasn't helpful enough.

I need to unlocked this phone so that I can use it in Nepal.

If anyone has any experince on this pls share.

By the way the phone is 3G and the operating system of my laptop is XP.
