usually ppl buy new one instead of replacing...if u wanna replace... look after the price of screen...if u go to school... u can talk wit the student computer technician>> computer service .... they should do it for free if they know it...by the way fee for these services are included on the tuition...utilize it.....good luck...provide the detail info of laptop...i might be able to help with the price....

Buy lcd monitor and plugin that will be better than anyother alternative. Monitor will work perfectly fine only thing is you wont be able to carry .

thanks ice cop...for the help..ill try to find out if the tech department at school provides any help for this...
....its an acer aspire 5720-4126 15.4"wxga acer crystalbrite...i found it that it costs $295...can u suggest me where i can buy it cheaper..i logged ito a website...this was the quote they provided....

i know a guy who had fix my computer i had same problem you had. you can call them and they did really nice job and the screen was cheap also. it cost me about $175.00 for dell computer 15 inch screen call and see how much you can get it for here is the number 303-445-8843 it's a computer place in denver you can ship them and get it fixed.......good luck
