Headline in 2025

Nepal Tests Nuclear Weapon

(Kathmandu, Nepal) — The South Asian nation of Nepal has become the last nuclear power on Earth after successfully testing a 2-kiloton device yesterday. Alarmed at the prospect of being the only non-nuclear country left in the world after last week's nuclear weapon tests by Fiji, Maldives, and The Vatican, this small nation (population 50 million) accelerated its WMD program, sponsored in part by the South Asian Nuclear Deterrent Coalition™, in order to perform yesterday's test.

US President George Y. Bush (Genetic Clone of George W. Bush) , temporary leader for the duration of the Ongoing International Terrorist Emergency (now in its tenth year), denounced the test and blamed Nepal’s’s WMD program on previous US President Hilary Clinton's policies in the 2020s that "failed to dissuade Nepal's senior political heavyweight Girija P. Koirala on his  101th   birthday from setting off on the course toward development of nuclear weapons."

Bush went on to say "We will not tolerate a nuclear Nepal. The goal is no nuclear weapons, or at least none off the Himalayan region of Nepal. Diplomacy is difficult. All options are on the table."

In other news, marijuana has been legalized in Nepal after 19 days of protests and strikes from students in cooperation with Sadhus & Jogis. They have called the movement Jan-Andolan 5. From today onwards, marijuana, hashish and shrooms can be grown at home and shopkeepers can distribute it at a price regulated by the Drug Dealers association of Nepal.
