As you said he sleep till 2 pm, first check with him whether he sleeps or just thinking thinking when he sleep. Who think lot they always get disturb in their mind and your friends needs lots of concealing towards positive thinking for being self satisfy with living for today. I think we have to take our past things and challenges as learning and experience not as feeling regrets doing that. And your moral support will help a lot to change him as I feel.  Everybody have problem in their life.
Keep smile in your face!

Yes! that's the one of big problem for him, because of not sleeping properly he gets lazy on day time and that lazyness brings different issues towards his future plans make him to think night time. I think he needs a friend who can give conceling for being happy for today & moral support. He needs to know different story of people who are  living with difficulty situation but they are happy for today.
Friend, i think you  can change him, so be stronge, keep positive thinking. everything will work out after while.
keep smiling.

sad to hear that. The only treatment or help you can get for him is to get checked up by doctor or someone proficient in the field to deal with cases like this.
But, bipolar....phewwww... it's hard, very hard...

Ezraeli,

Please read Jantare's last reply in this thread:

I think his answer in that thread is relevant for the problem with your friend as well.

If he is bipolarhe needs lots of sleep. Try giving him sleeping Aid. From what I have heard unlike boederline and schizophrenia, bipolar are easy to control. But he has to visit the Shrink regularly and take his medication regularly. Keep in mind it cannot be cured only controlled.

Try giving him ganja. It really works.

I know many Nepalese who don't have health insurance or access to counseling who have gone to this website to talk about their problems without revealing their identity:

This forum is for Depression:

Give it a shot. It might work for you.

This forum is specifically for Bi-polar disorder. You will meet other people with the same disorder.
