I have been there once last year, to contest my traffic ticket, that I got on my way to Vegas. Turned out, I had to appear at the Superior Court in Mojave.
The place is in middle of nowhere, miles of desert and a straight highway till you can see.
There's a business route 58 exit from the highway which takes you the the Mojave town. A small traditional american town, with few diners, couple of eateries, motels in all corners, gas stations and thin residential area.
Believe it or not, Mojave has an airplane junkyard, where you can see hundreds of planes being dumped, in all shapes and sizes or may be its a Spaceport or something.
The weather is HOT in summer, close to 120F , its windy and it blows dust and sand everywhere. I stayed at a motel in front of the court, run by Fijians, they did mention me that people rented the rooms by month there.
Not much to do around the town though, or I didn't spend much time. Its a good distance from Vegas and LA. Good luck.
