I have an offer to work(IT) here but I am not sure if i should take it. Any body any experience with all being said about the place..

Wherever you work, you won't live in Detroit. There are tons of people living 20-30 miles away Detroit and working in Detroit. I have been here for 4 yrs and for some time I did work in Detroit. I don't see any problem except for traffic during office hour (which is common everywhere).
