Hi guys:

Has anyone recently been to US embassy in Kath for visa stamping on H1B?

I found the list of documents on embassy site quite sufficient, just few doubts:

1. On the passport expiration date, it says the passport has to be valid for 6 months beyond intended stay in US. In my case, H1 expires in 2007, however the passport expires in next 8 months. Would that be a problem?

2. How was your general experience to receive appointment? Do you physically have to go for an interview or just drop off?

3. Do you really have to register with Nepal's Labor Dept. (Shram Mantralaya)?

4. Any tips to save headaches, time etc.

Thanks in advance.
