Bhyagute bus....wow, that brings back old memories....there was one called campus bus, pro'lly cause it had siddhartha vanasthali science campus written on it....another one i remember is patan bus...there was an old Jhyalkhana bus that later went to Gyanmandir...but the most memorable ones are toilet bus and bhyagute bus....btw, were any of u guys around when bhyagute bus just came ??? it had sum nasty stuff on it, may be for insulation, which was a major skin irritant...some ppl had a blast using it on others, while many had to suffer....

Hey guys, is it true that Laxman Rajbanshi's youngest son Deepak Rajbanshi ran away with drajeelingi school teacher despite being married and having daughter from first wife?

i was thinking about santalal budha the other day.. is he still alive??? THOSE were some fun days.. too many kids though.. to packed on the buses.. we used to run off the wall and go towards chalchatra sanstan. balaju park and shoyambhu were fav places to bunk.. once teachers.. chased us from soyambhu video place haha.. you guys prolly don't remember but they used to tie students on trees and put a big note on thier chest , saying" bhaguwa"..

Looks like you guys were nicely tamed/scared by Laxman Rajbanshi, probably that's why you guys are afraid to talk about him and his family.

I didn't go to Vanasathli School, but I went to the college. I still remembered the "pale dai", who used to take "cigarettes" as a "gush" to let us get out of the main door. That moron campus chief was a character too giving us "vashan" on how we supposed to behave, not to smoke, be regular on the campus and other BS. We bunked classes to go to the Balaju Swimming Pool, play cards and smoke joints in "raniban" and had lunch and breakfast at the cafeteria of "dairy milk". 2 years in Vanasthali were one of my fav. moments of life that I won't forget. Hope you guys had fun too!!!

Deepak Rajbanshi must be in his late 30's now, right? I never liked the whole Rajbanshi family.

Vanasthali was really fun espically during the democratic movement in 1990's when we used to just leave the class and block the ring road and try to have some fun while fighting for democracy. I think I was 10th grader at that time. And then after democracy somebody spray painted on one the wall of one of the building which was like
"JAABA SAMMA CHUDAMANI KO GALAMA RAHANCHA DARI, HARMO ANDOLAAN RAHANCHA JAREE" was really hilarious. Just FYI Chudamani was our principal who has beard all his life. Those were some fun days.

God, I feel nostalgic when I remember those Vanasthali days. I spent a total of 5 years at Vanasthali and I miss every bit of that. Once, CK sir made every one in the class (8th grade, section A) stand up on the desks and used a 'painful' stick to beat each one of us. I forgot the reason. Somebody wrote something on the board or sth like that. That was the only time I was beaten up at Vanasthali. I was furious at that time but brings a smile to my face if I remember it now.

another think i was in dillibazar bus ani hamroe ra puroe banayshow koe kay competion hunthiyoeeeeeeeeeeee.............those r the days.......pachadi dhoka ma basyoe taukoe nikalayra,.........ani teyo chabayl koe hall cinema aunay bayla ....."HAL-AAOYE"......."HALL-AAOYE".................VHANAYRA KTA HARU karaue nay........holi in the bus.............kahilay kahi ma pani garthiya...........

Katziman you remind me about Ram Bahadur Pala dai. We gave him cigarette almost every time if we have to go out of the school. He smoked every five minutes. I hope he is still there. He is one of my favorite person of Vanesthali.
Chumanadi Dari sir was so rude with us all the time but he was nice after SLC. May be he want us to be good students. Whatever

guys, i want to share a incidence....u know how everyone used to stand outside the class when there was no teacher in the class??....we were doing the same one day, and CK bam saw us from somewhere....so he came to the class, and asked us "कस्को क्लास हो?"

no one spoke. the reason: it was pendulum's class and no one knew his real name. finally, some one from the back said in a faint voice "pendulum sir को।"

CK couldnt contain the smile....and said "ओ, रामजी सर को क्लास..."

that was in class ten, scetion H. thats how i came to know that pendulum's real name was ramji. but i likes the way he taught....he was a good teacher....

Hey any of you, were there when gas cylinder exploded in the kitchen in Vanesthali ?

F this someone resurrected decade old thread, by the way these should on Siddhartha vanasthali's brochure:

1. Gang fight, once a day...someone was always hitting someone or planning to do so...passive aggression was so pervasive in that school. They played by the prison rules, gang fight was imminent if someone stares some for more than 2 second.
