 Hi  sajha user/ helper ji,

I just wonder which parasitic nematodes /or insects that may attack the rice plant in Nepal?

I heard about
1.The brown plant hopper (insect),
2. Meloidogyne graminicola (rice rootknot nematode) and
3.Hirschmanniella oryzae (the rice root nematode)
Are there other insects or nematodes prevalent in our  rice plants?  Among No 1, 2 or 3 which is most important pest for Nepal?

Your help is appreciated.

Mr. Rai lives in NH has MS in horticulture, may have answer for you. You may have seen him in various cultural programs run by tamang and other hilly ethnic group.
