I think most of us are hypocrites: we love to watch hindi movies, we sing hindi songs, like to get dressed up as indian actors, love to follow typical indian traditions... so many.. we never get focused on what we really are. It won't make us true Nepali just by cussing Indians, it won't make us respectful in front of other nepali letting them know how much we hate hindi language. we must stop singing hindi song while taking shit! I don't have to let any one know how much i love Nepal, I can even challenge anyone of you  in one on one nepali speaking competition. Change must come from within. If we had not elected or given power to our stupid politicians, Paramananda Jha would not have been Vice president today. He is doing what is right for him, since he has not forgotten his root. First of all reading your thread i feel you are a racist...everything you said may be right but when it comes music then it has no boundaries my friend....in my case i just have to like that music and i dont care where it is from.....same is in the case of movies...bollywood has some awesome movies...i can even give you the names...like sholay,dil chahata hai, munna bhai mbbs, lage raho munna bhai, or some comedy movies like goolmal, herapheri, hungama  ...which most of the people liked.... so i dont think it is right to see india's foreign policy and their art (movies and music) through the same perspective...i agree that india has no good relation with their neighbouring countries...so they never have peace in their country...time and often there are suffering for what they do to their neighbouring countries ( e.g. recent bomb blast in hotel Taj) ....

same is in the case of USA too..it has no good foreign affiars....but you cannot ignore hollywood,...and  most of the music artists here are awesome...this is the age of globalization my friend..what is produced in one country takes no time to reach another country..and people make their choice . they choose the best.....dont mix politics and art together....

You are wrong f1refugeee. I have many south Indian friends who don't even know how to speak Hindi. They don't watch Hindi movies. They watch South Indian movies and english movies. Japanes, Chinese, Taiwanese and other asian countries they don't watch Indian movies. North Indians, Nepalese and some African countries watch Indian movies don't mean all asian watch Indian movies are completely wrong. I used to watch some inidan movies but not anymore.The reason is, they are all copies of english movies. Here are some of the hindi movies which made copies of english movies.

ok.. if mta 177 doesnt like hindi movies then how does he know which hindi movie is the copy of which hollywood movie ?....I bet if you havent watched any hindi movies so far..?...listen ...just speaking something and following it is different....if you watch hindi movies, listen hindi music ...you dont have to pretend that you dont like it....you hate india, you dont like indians then why do you said you have south indian friends...they are also indians arent they?.......and you said south indians watch their own movies....may be because they have quality movies as bollywood does.... movies from china, japan,korea and isreal etc often gets nominated in oscars for the best foreign movies...but nepal ..it never does.....one more thing you know that  pakistani dislikes india more than nepalese do but still they watch indian movies....same is the case of other countries whose own movie or music industry is not good....they prefer whose stuff is better.......and all the movies are not copied...as far as i know a r rehman never copies....also there are some good movie makers who give their best..........well i am not a damn bollywood fan...but i watch some good movies from there..i hate how india behaves with its neighbour countries but it has nothing to do with music and movies.

You all are missing the point, the point is that India Lovers are selling the lines " Everyone in Nepal watches Hindi Movies, so Hindi language should be equal to Nepali language" The problem comes when us Nepalese go out and praise. Hindi movies. Some even call Bollywood products an ART, what a joke, Bollywood is Plagiarism not ART. When you praise plagiarism you prove your idiocy to the rest.

Hindi movies are crap and some of us enjoy eating crap, there is very little the rest can do about it.
